RandomCamChat ("we", "us", or "our") operates the random cam chat and text chat platform at https://randomcamchat.com. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
This policy applies to all users of RandomCamChat, including guests, registered users, and paying subscribers. By using the platform, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
RandomCamChat does not operate public-facing social features such as user profile pages, video uploads, photo galleries, blog posts, community forums, or content discovery feeds. Any reference to such features in shared infrastructure documents does not apply to the RandomCamChat product.

- Password (stored in hashed form — we do not store your plain-text password)
- Account creation date and last login timestamp

- Skip and next actions (count and timing — not content)
- Report and block actions taken during sessions
We do not record, store, or archive the video feed or text message content of sessions under normal operation. Session content is transient. See Section 5 for details on report-triggered data preservation.
Interest Tags
- Interest tags you select before sessions (e.g., music, gaming, travel)
- These are stored with your account profile and used to influence matching
Payment Data
- Coins purchase history and VIP subscription status
- Payment is processed by third-party providers — we do not store full card numbers or payment credentials
- Transaction identifiers and billing dates for account and dispute resolution purposes
Technical & Usage Data
- IP address (used for geolocation, rate limiting, and security)
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages visited and features used within the platform
- Cookie data (see Section 6)
3. How We Use Your Data
We use collected data for the following purposes:
- Account management: Creating, authenticating, and managing your account; sending account-related emails (password resets, billing confirmations).
- Random matching: Pairing you with other available users for cam or text sessions based on pool availability and interest tags.
- Moderation: Reviewing reports, investigating violations, enforcing community guidelines, and removing accounts that violate our Terms of Service.
- Platform safety: Detecting and preventing fraud, fake accounts, bot activity, and abuse of the platform.
- Payment processing: Managing Coins purchases, VIP subscriptions, billing disputes, and refund requests.
- Analytics: Understanding how users interact with the platform in aggregate to improve features, performance, and matching quality.
- Legal compliance: Retaining records required by applicable law and responding to valid legal requests.
We do not use your data to build public-facing profiles, populate content feeds, or recommend you to users outside of the random matching context.
4. Interest Tags & Matching Data
Interest tags are optional labels you add before starting a session (e.g., Music, Gaming, Travel, Languages, Dating, Tech, Movies, Late-night chat). These tags are stored with your account and used exclusively for the purpose of influencing match pool prioritization.
When you start a session with interest tags active, the matching system compares your tags against the tags of currently active users and gives matching priority to users with overlapping interests. Your interest tags are visible to your current match during an active session.
Interest tags are not published to any public index, shared with advertisers, or used to infer sensitive characteristics such as religion, political views, or health status. You can update or clear your interest tags at any time in your account settings.
5. Session Data
RandomCamChat does not record, store, or archive the live video feed or text message content of cam or text sessions under normal operation. Video and text streams are transmitted peer-to-peer or through our relay infrastructure during the session and are discarded when the session ends. We do not have access to session recordings.
Exception — Report-triggered preservation: When a user submits a report during or immediately after a session, we may preserve limited session metadata (timestamps, session ID, user IDs involved, and the nature of the reported incident) for the purpose of moderation review and legal compliance. This data is retained only as long as necessary to process the report and any resulting account action.
You are responsible for your own recording behavior. If you capture another user's video or messages during a session without their consent, you may violate our Terms of Service and applicable privacy laws.
8. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide the service and comply with legal obligations:
- Active accounts: Account data is retained for the lifetime of your account.
- Session metadata: Aggregate session logs are retained for up to 90 days for platform analytics and safety purposes.
- Report data: Data related to submitted reports is retained for as long as the moderation case is active, plus a compliance period of up to 12 months.
- Payment records: Transaction records are retained for the period required by applicable tax and financial regulations (typically 5–7 years depending on jurisdiction).
- Deleted accounts: When you delete your account, your account data is removed within 30 days. Payment records required for legal compliance are retained separately for the required period.
